Questions about the Foundation The Stiftung Reinhard Bonnke Foundation was founded in November 2002. Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, who has literally led millions of people to faith in Jesus Christ, is the founder of this organisation.
Why did Pastor Bonnke create a Foundation in addition to the ministry of Christ for all Nations? Was that necessary? Over the years the missions work expanded enormously and went far beyond the work of the registered association. It became necessary to form a Foundation that could cover more than an association. It is also constituted in such a way that the missions work will be continued by the Foundation so that the Great Commission can be accomplished in the years to come. Foundations are constructed to last; some Foundations in Germany have existed for many hundreds of years already, and still pursue the original purpose of the Foundation.
Is it not about more money? It is about the salvation of precious people! Certainly it costs money to reach people with the gospel and since we want to reach great multitudes we need a lot of funds. Right now there are open doors in many countries and an enormous hunger for the word of God. Furthermore, we have technical possibilities as never before. It is harvest time! We have to bring in the harvest now. We cannot afford to be spectators and let the opportunity pass by.
Who is the chairman of the board? Chairman of the board is Mr. Marcus Junga, a friend of our ministry. He is a tax advisor and is located in Solingen.
Will part of the generated income be distributed to the founder and his family? No, all incoming donations within the Stiftung Reinhard Bonnke Foundation will be used to fulfil the purposes of the Foundation.
What is the Foundation about? On the one hand it is about the support of evangelistic campaigns as carried out for decades by Christ for all Nations; on the other hand it is about the multiplication of evangelists. For years this has been happening through the “Fire conferences” where local pastors and church workers receive vital training, encouragement and motivation. This will be reinforced by the planned Full Flame Film Series which will offer Christians a solid foundation and teaching, enabling them to be evangelists themselves. We also offer The Reinhard Bonnke School of Fire which allows believers in even the most remote places of the world to understand God’s word better and apply it.
What benefits do your donors have with the Foundation? The donors understand that their own aims in life – the preaching of the gospel – will be implemented reliably by the Stiftung Reinhard Bonnke Foundation. In Germany the amount one can offset against taxes is up to 20% of the income.
Why do you have a provision brochure? The brochure “Treasures on Earth – Treasures in Heaven – Your Legacy for Generations” informs about the options that exist in arranging, to your own satisfaction, the final things in life, including the legacy. Eternal life is the most important subject for every Christian. However, we also have to make provision for our earthly life. Subjects such as advance directives and death should not be ignored. It only causes unnecessary difficulties and uncertainties. I can warmly recommend this brochure to everyone. (Available in German only)
What will happen when Pastor Bonnke dies? The Foundation is not just focussed on a single person but is a continuous matter aimed at lasting beyond a human life. In a registered association all incoming money has to be used promptly. In a Foundation it will be used either promptly – that happens with a donation – or it has to be invested safely. With the proceeds the aim of the Foundation (in this case, evangelism), has to be fulfilled – then we talk about a “Zustiftung.” This way many generations will be blessed. The planned “Full Flame Film Series” is meant to multiply the work. So instead of having only one successor there will be an army of evangelists carrying out the Great Commission.
Who will be in charge of the funds of the Foundation? A board of trustees together with Reinhard Bonnke and the chairman Marcus Junga watch over the execution of the by-laws. The incoming money is invested in missionary and evangelistic work in its various forms as already mentioned.
What will happen to my money in 100 years? As already explained, money given to the Foundation as a donation will be used promptly. It will bear fruit in those that respond to the gospel or in those who themselves become evangelists. Money donated as a “Zustiftung” will be well invested, and from the returns the work of the gospel will be supported on an ongoing basis. |
