Saviour at work

One day, my father Hermann Bonnke went “fishing” but his “catch” was far different from what he or anyone else might ever have expected – an incredible story.

The Keys of the Kingdom

This power is not simply our faith in power. It is not a matter of going through a routine and believing that the power of God is at work, invisibly. His power should be seen and be manifested. There should be effects, both physical and personal, that can be attributed to the power of God. People’s lives should be affected in some tangible way.

Discovering God’s Will for Your Life - Part 2

In Joshua Chapter 3 we read that the children of Israel’s nomadic caravan had come to a seemingly unsurpassable obstacle; the Jordan River had flooded its banks and blocked their path. If Joshua had been trained at some of our fine Bible colleges, I am sure he would have counselled the Israelites with wise words such as “We are going to wait right here until the Lord makes a path in the waters”. Or in the modern vernacular: “We are going to wait until the Lord opens a door.” But his command was quite the opposite.

Discovering God’s Will for Your Life - Part 1

Are you seeking God’s will for your life? If so, you are not alone. Questions regarding God’s will are among the most frequent ones I encounter as I minister around the world. It seems that, regardless of the country, continent, race, culture, gender or age, people everywhere are searching for, and desiring to fulfil, God’s will for their lives.

Eternity takes time

What will last for ever is not pre-fabricated and put together overnight. God is building the future and it is not synthetic or produced with a magic miracle or two.

Divine Dining - Part 2

Part 2 ... Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with him, and he with me

Revelation 3:20

Divine Dining - Part 1

Some unusual things in this verse made me take a closer look at it. The Lord is asking us to give Him an invitation when normally He does the inviting or at least that is what we might expect.
But before anything else, the message sets a condition: “if anyone hears.

Contradistinct to the world

Exiting Egypt, with nothing but what was in their backpacks, they were to change the world. Slave-Israel overnight became a new nation totally different from the rest of the world. God gave them a reverse culture. This was to prepare and fit them as His people. He said “Learn not the ways of the heathen…”

Merry Christians

The one thing the angel told Joseph was that he (JESUS) would save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). So, what a time Christmas should be! Saved from our sins! Forgiven, redeemed! What glad-hearted relief!

Spirit of Truth

It is impossible to have a genuine encounter with the Holy Spirit and not have an encounter with Jesus. If you ever see this happening be very careful, because while there are many spirits in the world, there is only ONE HOLY SPIRIT!

Saved to serve

“If I were to save your life, what would you do?” This was the question that Cyrus, the King of Persia asked to a rebel chieftain named Cagular whom he had captured and was about to execute.

My first year in Africa

In many ways my first year in South Africa was the most difficult – it was 1967. I was filled with great expectations, high aspirations, and a sense of divine calling.

Why We Exist

Science and its marvels scan the heavens and give us access to the terrifying stretches of space and time.

Holy Spirit Agenda
´

People are always asking what God is up to. “Up to?” Well, apart from running the universe and being in church on Sundays, he keeps pretty busy!
