So many people came to the Palais des Congrés de l’Est Parisien that they could not fit into the hall! An overflow below had to be opened for another 1,000 people who wanted to experience Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s preaching.

This was the first time Reinhard Bonnke and his team held a one-day Fire Conference and evangelistic rally in Paris. About 6,000 people came to the evening meeting and saw how hundreds flocked to the altar to receive salvation through Jesus Christ. Wonderful testimonies of healing were a highlight of this great event.

There was not much time for preparation. In January, once Reinhard Bonnke was certain that CfaN would go to France, the churches in Paris were visited. Although the news that CfaN wanted to hold a Fire Conference in Paris was surprising, it was not unexpected. For many years, pastors and churches had been begging Bonnke to come, and now at last there was an opening as well as clear direction from the Lord. The churches cooperated wonderfully, guaranteeing the success of the follow-up.

Since we only had one day, the program was packed. Reinhard Bonnke started the day off with speaking about the need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. “His spirit on all flesh” was the promise God made to Joel and it is still true for us today. This is what the congregation experienced when Reinhard Bonnke blessed them with the laying on of hands. The Holy Spirit fell in a mighty way, with people being ignited and filled with power from above.

France officially considers itself a secular society and there can be no doubt that this is true. The Christians are a tiny minority but that means nothing to God. Consider what the Holy Spirit accomplished with just a handful of people in the upper room! With more than 600,000,000 Charismatic Christians worldwide, I have great hope for what God can do through a mass outpouring of His Spirit today! “…that all men will be saved…” will then be more than just a dream. It will be the realization of a vision!

 

After just a short break co-Evangelist Daniel Kolenda continued. Although a young man, he is no novice but truly is able to capture the attention of all his listeners, young and old. When the call was made, people wept as they streamed to the altar. Jesus was indeed inaction, moving people’s hearts! Without a break, I continued with the third session, speaking about how to apply what we hear, in our daily lives.

The Full Flame Film series was launched in the French language, just in time for this event. This wonderful tool is also available now in English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, as well as Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin – a “must” for every Christian, Church and cell group!
   
The power of the Holy Spirit is real and God is still at work today! People rejoiced at testimonies of deliverance and healing, and some 800 follow-up booklets were handed out at the altar.Regardless of where we are – Africa or France – there is salvation for each and everyone at the cross of Jesus.

 

Without a doubt, Africa remains the primary call for Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and Christ for all Nations. Each of us needs to be faithful where God has sent us to proclaim this wonderful Good News. In just a few days, we leave again and all is set, but great hurdles remain. The costs of these evangelistic campaigns have risen in an extraordinary way and you will know that the oil price has impacted the airline tickets tremendously. May I be so bold as to speak freely and tell you that we desperately need finances for the next great Gospel Crusade? We cannot do it alone – as always, we need your help.    

We continue to pray and trust that the Lord will touch hearts to stand with us, shoulder to shoulder, in the divine principle of sowing and reaping. God is no man’s debtor – you shall surely receive your heavenly reward as together we see the fulfillment of what God has promised – “that all men shall be saved”. We are determined to see our generation saved. That this is possible, we have seen in Paris,as a start for France.All praise and thanks be to our Lord!
