Great Expectation
Wednesday, 13 October 2010

Tonight was the opening meeting of our campaign here in Akure, Nigeria where over 70,000 people attended including the Governor of Ondo State and the king. There is a palpable sense of anticipation for what the Lord will do here over the next few days, and tonight we had a taste of what is to come.
After I preached the Gospel many thousands responded to the altar call and then after praying for the sick we heard a small sampling of the many miracles that Jesus did tonight. A mong those healed was a young man who had received a knee injury playing football several months ago. He had not been able to move the leg without terrible pain, but tonight Jesus healed him.
Video Message
He could squat, run and even jump without pain (see picture). Also a man who had a stroke in 2004 and was handicapped ever since received healing tonight along with a man whose arm was paralyzed.
Tomorrow is the beginning of the Fire Conference. Through these meetings, designed to equip the pastors and church workers, we have the ability to multiply the impact of our time here as many thousands of ministers are filled with the Holy Spirit and launched into new levels of effectiveness. Please pray for these pastors and their Churches.

Surrendering All to Jesus
Thursday, 14 October 2010
Tonight ominous clouds and lightning threatened to bring the meeting to an early end and even though the rain fell all over Akure, the field where we were gathered stayed dry and we were not hindered. The message of repentance and restitution was received and a huge number of the more than 100,000 present surrendered their lives to Jesus and were born again.
We heard from a Muslim man tonight who said he had been suffering with terrible pain that had become so severe over the past 10 days that he had barely been able to sleep. T onight Jesus healed him and he came to the platform with his “Now That You Are Saved” booklet in hand and told us that he had become a Christian! Many other wonderful miracles took place including the healing of a boy that had been deaf and dumb for over 8 years, a woman who had been crippled for 4 years and many more.
Almost every person who testified tonight said that they had gone to witchdoctors to be cured and many of them had only gotten worse. Tomorrow night we will begin burning witchcraft items; idols, charms and fetishes and we believe that many will be set free as they surrender all to Jesus. Please continue to pray for Akure, that Jesus will break every stronghold and deliver from every bondage.

The Curses Broken
Friday, 15 October 2010
We’ve just returned from tonight’s meeting where 130,000 attended. I preached about the power of the blood of Jesus and after leading thousands in the prayer of salvation we appropriated the power of that blood breaking every curse over the people and the land in the name of Jesus! The people brought piles of occult charms, fetishes and “juju” to be burned just like in Acts 19:19 and as the flames leaped skyward the huge crowd looked like a boiling sea as the people danced and sang in freedom.
The first word of the Great Commission is, “GO…”When Jesus used fishing as a metaphor for evangelism, he revealed to us something about his chosen model and paradigm. What does evangelism mean to Jesus? To be a “fisher of men” implies releasing the moorings from the bollard, pulling back the anchor, pushing away from the shore and launching out into the deep. “The Son of Man”, He said of Himself, “Has COME to SEEK…the lost” Now, to us He says, YOU “GO” and seek the lost.
We are in Akure tonight because you have partnered with us in obedience to that commission. Together, we have launched out and found a mighty haul of fish…a harvest that was already ripe and waiting to be reaped. What a wonderful privilege! What an extraordinary honor!
Tomorrow is the climax of the Fire Conference and then we have two more evangelistic services. Please continue to pray for us and for Akure. The best is yet to come!

The Outpouring Continues
Saturday, 16 October 2010
Today was the conclusion of the Fire Conference here in Akure. Early in the morning, more than 25,000 pastors and church workers arrived to receive their impartation from Heaven (see attached picture). Rev. Peter Vandenberg preached a powerful message about “Final Steps to Receiving the Power of God” and by the time I stood up to preach the Fire was already falling…I didn’t even get to preach my message! The Holy Spirit did His work and we are rejoicing.
Tonight the crowd grew to 185,000 and the meeting started out with a dynamic testimony of a man who had been a witchdoctor when Reinhard Bonnke and the CfaN team came to Ilorin, Nigeria in 1990. He told us that he was a very evil man who specialized in black magic and death, but He said that once the Crusade started his business dropped off because his customers had become Christians at the Bonnke Crusade. He was furious and came to curse Bonnke, but he ended up getting saved instead! The next night he loaded a truck with piles of witchcraft items, charms, fetishes and ritualistic tools and brought them to the crusade field to be burned. Today, 20-years later, the witchdoctor is still serving the Lord and now travels around Nigeria as an evangelist! He said that he used to be known as the “Mysterious Bird Herbalist” but now he has changed his name to Adeduko BONNKE.
Many thousands responded to the message and received Jesus as Savior and then we prayed for the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Again…there was another mighty outpouring and many received out of His fullness.
Please see the attached pictures of today’s services as well as the man who had been crippled for 5 years, but was healed tonight.

Extraordinary Hunger
Sunday, 17 October 2010
Today there was a massive thunderstorm in the afternoon and I wondered if anyone would brave the weather to attend the open-air meeting. When we pulled up to the swampy field, where the rain was still drizzling and saw over 160,000 people gathered, standing in the mud I was so touched. Rev. Peter Van den berg, who has been the vice-president of CfaN for 30-years said that it was the muddiest crusade field he has ever seen! Yet the people were not hindered. It is really a vivid testimony to the extraordinary hunger of the people and I am sure that Heaven has taken note.
After preaching the Gospel and leading the people in the prayer of salvation, we prayed for the sick and wonderful miracles happened. A woman who was deaf in one ear for 10-years was healed along with a madman, a demon possessed woman and others. Have a look at the attached pictures of a woman who was blind for 6-years but now can see.
Thank you for praying for us and for sending us to Akure…it has been worth every effort and every dollar. We now are looking forward to our next campaign in Ogbomosho in just three weeks and pray that the Lord will help us with the finances. Please continue to stand with us in this historic season of harvest.
