  • Nobody can destroy what God builds

    Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke - Official Pages Facebook-Notizen 12. March 2010 - 17:59

The Holy Spirit is committed to fulfil Christ’s promise “I will build my church”. That is His business. It is also our business and explains the whole vibrating scene of the ministry. Nobody can destroy what God builds. Nobody can shut a door He opens. The Cross of Christ is the immoveable rock in the history of the roaring seas of mankind. Atheists and rulers have announced that God was dead or about to die. He hasn’t. They have! While inscribing Christ’s gravestone with RIP a hand has been laid on their shoulder and a voice has said “I am He that was dead and behold I am alive for ever more”! We are late comers. The torch has been passed to us from the hands of heroes, scholars, martyrs, and millions of unknown believers. They look over the cloud of glory to encourage us. We dare not fail them. • THE YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER CHRIST

    Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke - Official Pages Facebook-Notizen 12. March 2010 - 13:43

Here is an example from Luke’s Gospel (7:11-16). Jesus raised a young man, the son of a widow, from the dead in the village of Nain. We read that Jesus had compassion on the weeping mother. In the same region, the great prophets Elijah and Elisha also had raised mothers’ sons from the dead (1 Kings 17; 2 Kings 4). That was 800 years before. Now notice this. In each case, the Bible says that Elijah and Elisha gave the son back to his mother. Jesus did exactly the same. He raised the young man from death, and gave him back to his mother. Christ knew the Scriptures, and it was His way of showing that, what He had just done for this grieving mother, He had done long before for other mothers. It was He who had raised those two sons from death. Jesus had been around in Israel long before His birth in Bethlehem, and had worked through Elijah and Elisha. Eight centuries made no difference to His power or compassion. Generation after generation has experienced Christ’s healing touch. We recognize His fingerprints, His typical way of working. He is like the noonday sun, yet He never switches off. His powerful sunlight kills the virus of evil. Jesus is with you now! He is your healer too. Be blessed. REINHARD BONNKE

  • FAITH AND THE DEVIL

    Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke - Official Pages Facebook-Notizen 12. March 2010 - 0:49

Ever since Satan rose up wanting the honours of God (Isaiah 14:12-15), his aim has been domination. Humans must have seemed an easy target to him, but in God’s eternal plan, “God has chosen the weak things to bring to naught the things that are mighty” (1 Corinthians 1:27). Satan continues with his aims to this day. Among his strategies is the occult with all its manifestations. Against all these dangers, the Christian carries the bullet-proof shield of faith. There are Christians who seem more demon-conscious than Jesus-conscious. Satan loves to distract us with demon manifestations. But neither exorcism nor healing is the whole Gospel. We follow the example of Jesus in such things, and His mission was the Kingdom of God. Jesus gave us a warning, too; “In this rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20). Actually, the occult is not the “root of all evil”, that’s “the love of money” (1 Timothy 6:10). 1 Peter 5 echoes this and tells us to, “Resist (Satan), standing firm in the faith…” The battle is in us. We overcome the devil by guarding ourselves with the shield of faith, throwing our trust upon God, giving the devil no place in our lives. “This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). Understood? Be blessed! REINHARD BONNKE

  • Faith Cancels Fear

    Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke - Official Pages Facebook-Notizen 11. March 2010 - 21:37

"By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king's command" (Heb. 11:23). Just think of what that involved. The Egyptian state and Pharaoh, its head, had made it illegal to keep a Hebrew baby-boy. By law, such children were to be killed at birth. Soldiers moved around to carry out this order. What terror and grief there must have been! Then Moses was born. His parents looked upon this lovely son, and decided to defy the law and hide the baby. "By faith . . . they were not afraid.” Officers of the law were around, and their footsteps were heard stopping at their very door, seeking the child's life! Who would not shake in their shoes if armed men were waiting, ordered to kill their baby? Yet, "they were not afraid.” This is a glorious truth: FAITH CANCELS FEAR. Their faith may have looked naive and foolish. But the situation was exactly what God likes. He delights to do the impossible. Please tell me, if this ministers to you. Blessings, REINHARD BONNKE.

  • The Heart of the Gospel

    Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke - Official Pages Facebook-Notizen 11. March 2010 - 13:17

The heart of the Gospel is the pierced heart of the Son of God. It is all there, at the cross. God, horrified and assaulted by our sin, our clenched fist in His face, and His breathtaking act of turning that same cross into the instrument of redeeming love, reconciliation and salvation. He died for those who killed Him. By His blood He forgave those who spilled it. That is the Gospel story (John 3,16). Evangelism is to tell it like it is. Greetings, REINHARD BONNKE.
