We are back in Africa!  Tonight was the beginning of the final Gospel Campaign of 2010 in the city of Asaba in Nigeria and the harvest continues.  

In his welcome speech last night, the chairman said, “This Great Gospel Crusade could not have been held at a better time.”  He said that other men of God have retreated from this region because of the “Powers of darkness”.  He added that many “Satanic altars” have been built around the town and mentioned quite a few evil strongholds that bind the people.  But we are here with the light of the Gospel and already tonight we have seen it pierce the darkness.

After the prayer for salvation we heard from a man who had been crippled by rheumatism for 14 years and another for 2 years, but now they could both run and jump without pain! 

A young man told us that he had broken his hand in a motorcycle accident and as a result, his hand had been fused shut.  Tonight during the prayer for the sick, he suddenly realized it was totally restored.

A young lady testified that the pain she had suffered with for the last 24 years left her tonight!

Jesus is at work here in Asaba.  We covet your prayers as we confront every satanic influence that has bound the people of this land.  Please pray that the Lord would draw the lost and that a mighty harvest would be reaped here in Delta State, Nigeria.

It is the second night of our Great Gospel Campaign here in Asaba, Nigeria and momentum is building.  These precious people are so responsive and such a pleasure to minister to.  They are receiving the Word with great joy.  Tonight the Gospel message rang loud and clear and many chose to follow Jesus.

The Gospel that we preach is not one of word only, but comes with a demonstration of Holy Ghost power and tonight many miracles and healings took place.

• A woman who was deaf for over 50 years received her healing tonight.  She wept as she thanked Jesus for His mercy.  
• A lunatic was set free tonight after 15 years of madness. He said that as I was praying he felt something come out of his body three times and when this third entity left him he was in his right mind.
• Several cripples also gave their testimonies of healing tonight along with others…we are rejoicing.

We are on the front lines of the battle here in Asaba.  The enemy is pushing, but we are pushing back and the Gates of Hell will not prevail against us!

 

I preached tonight on the power of the blood of Jesus.  It seemed like the people were hanging on every word and drinking it all in.  After praying for salvation we burned barrels of items associated with idolatry and the occult just like they did in Acts 19.  With the flames still leaping into the air I began to call out the names of the traditional tribal curses and break them one by one in the name of Jesus.  A young man had been suffering with terrible pain in his body and eye problems ever since he received a ring from a witchdoctor three years ago.  His friend brought him to the meeting tonight and after hearing the Gospel he brought the ring forward, took it off his finger and threw it into the fire.  After the curses were broken he realized that his pain was gone and his eyes were healed.  

Many other healings took place tonight and we are rejoicing as we look forward to the weekend and the conclusion of the Fire conference tomorrow.  The best is yet to come in Jesus name.  Please continue to pray for us and for Asaba.

Another meeting has just come to a close here in Asaba, Nigeria where the mercy of God is being poured out in the form of salvation, healing and Holy Spirit baptism.

This morning the Fire Conference came to a climax as the Holy Spirit was poured out on the delegates, evangelists, pastors and other church workers.  But this wonderful empowering “gift of the Father” is not only for the clergy.  The baptism into the Holy Spirit is for every child of God!  Tonight we prayed for everyone who came to the meeting, even those who have just been born again, and the Spirit of God was poured out on “all flesh”!  The sound of new tongues filled the air as thousands received the fire!

When the Holy Spirit falls, people don’t just speak in tongues, but any miracle is possible.  Have a look at the picture of one dear old lady who was healed after being crippled from a stroke for one year.  Another lady had been suffering with acute typhoid fever since 1995.  Last night she was sitting with the infirm people in the section reserved for the sick, but tonight she is completely well…healed by the power of God!

Tomorrow is the final meeting here in Asaba and we are looking forward to a mighty culmination.  Please keep praying for us.

Tonight Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke preached the Gospel; calling the people to turn from the darkness to the Light…from the power of Satan to God.  His message was clear and powerful and the response was virtually unanimous.  

We heard many wonderful testimonies of healing (far too many to mention); tumors and cists vanished, crippled limbs and broken bones were healed, eyesight was restored, deaf ears opened, rheumatism, ulcers and chronic pain disappeared!

Now, as the final meeting of the final campaign in 2010 has just come to a close here in Asaba, Nigeria, we are rejoicing because of the millions that have been saved this year and the eternal impact that has been made through these campaigns.
